Arduino Soap Sanitizer Dispenser

Summary of Arduino Soap Sanitizer Dispenser

This article describes a DIY overkill soap dispenser using CNC linear rails instead of servo motors. The project involves 3D printing specific components, gathering electronics, and assembling a custom bottle holder. Instructions reference external videos for rail mechanics and STL files are available online for the necessary parts.

Parts used in the CNC Rail Soap Dispenser:

  • END x1
  • Motor End x1
  • Upper x1
  • LOWER x1
  • Lid x1
  • backbone bracket x1
  • Front support x1
  • back support x1
  • base x1 (or plywood)

Basically, an overkill soap dispenser made from CNC linear rail

Description

watch the video first

So the goal here was to build a Soap/Sanitiser without using the “servo motor method”

this is actually pretty straightforward built,

first, you need to print these parts and gather all the electronics components that we need.

download parts stl files from here- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4349169

Parts that you need to 3D print for CNC rail

1. END x1

2. Motor End x1

For rest of the built

3. Upper x1

4. LOWER x1

5. Lid x1

6. backbone bracket x1

7. Front support x1

8. back support x1

9. base x1 (or just use any plywood as the base)

For the CNC rail built instruction, watch this video

(I’ve just changed the carriage of the linear rail with a different one which has two holes on it for attaching the lever )

3D design: Arduino Soap Sanitizer Dispenser

also, you might need to make a custom soap bottle holder as these bottles are not really universal.

Quick Solutions to Questions related to CNC Rail Soap Dispenser:

  • What is the main goal of this project?
The goal was to build a soap or sanitizer dispenser without using the servo motor method.
  • How do I get the 3D printed parts?
You need to download the STL files from Thingiverse using the provided link.
  • Which parts must be 3D printed for the CNC rail assembly?
You must print END, Motor End, Upper, LOWER, Lid, backbone bracket, Front support, back support, and base.
  • Can I use materials other than 3D printed ones for the base?
Yes, you can use any piece of plywood as the base instead of printing one.
  • Why might I need a custom soap bottle holder?
Custom holders are needed because standard soap bottles are not really universal.
  • What video should I watch for CNC rail building instructions?
You should watch the second video linked in the text which covers the carriage modification.
  • Does the design require an Arduino?
Yes, the schematic references an Arduino Soap Sanitizer Dispenser design.
  • Is the built process considered straightforward?
The author states that this build is actually pretty straightforward.
