Arduino CNC

Hi, this is my first instructable and I hope to do more. This project was for ‘Creative Electronics’, a Beng Electronics Engineering 4th year module at the University of Málaga, School of Telecommunications. http://www.etsit.uma.es/ It’s a cnc using Arduino UNO R3 , GCode Sender and GRBL. The cnc is made of wood thanks to the […]

LSF0204 breakout board

LSF0204 breakout board: a bidirectional, multi-voltage level converter!

I needed a small, fast and reliable multi-voltage level translator (mainly for connecting ESP8266 boards to the Arduino, got tired of resistor networks pretty quickly) so I built a breakout board for TI’s LSF0204(D). Datasheet and info here. The LSF0204 is a nice little chip. It can translate up to 4 signals to and from the

Sub picoamp input op amp offers high gain bandwidth

Sub-picoamp input op-amp offers high gain bandwidth

Linear Tech is aiming at high-impedance sensor transimpedance amplifiers with an op-amp that requires only 3fA of bias current (typical at 25°C) while offering 500MHz gain bandwidth product. Potential applications for the chip, called LTC6268, include interfacing ADCs to reverse leakage (linear) mode photodiodes. 20kΩ transimpedance gain is available at 65MHz, and 499kΩ with 11MHz

New energy efficiency rules will change motor control design

New energy efficiency rules will change motor control design

Motor control is becoming the power industry’s fastest changing technology area. The reason for this is the requirement to improve energy efficiency from the millions of motors which are used in our homes, factories and cars. New developments in motor controller design, current sensing and control algorithms will be needed if new and more stringent
